1. About This Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Tech2Teach ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information through the PIPS (Positive Impact Points) application ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to operate the App:

• Teacher / Staff Accounts: Full name and email address, provided at registration or via a school invitation. We may also store a display name and school affiliation.
• Student Data: First name (and optional last-name initial), points earned, house/class membership, available points balance, and reward-redemption records. Student data is entered by teachers and is not self-reported by students.
• Usage Data: Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) generated when the App is accessed, used for security monitoring and performance.

We do not collect student email addresses, dates of birth, photos (unless the teacher manually uploads a class photo), or any sensitive personal information as defined by the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To operate and deliver the App's features (awarding points, tracking progress, generating reports).
• To authenticate teacher accounts securely via Google Sign-In.
• To send transactional emails (e.g., account invitations, password resets).
• To respond to support requests sent to support@tech2teach.com.au.
• To maintain and improve the App's security and reliability.

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. How Data Is Stored and Secured

• All data is hosted on Base44, a cloud application platform with encrypted data storage and secure HTTPS connections.
• Access to school data is restricted by role — teachers can only access records belonging to their own school.
• Passwords are never stored by the App; authentication is delegated to Google.
• Stripe, Inc. handles payment processing for subscription plans. We do not store credit card details.

School and student data is retained for as long as the school's account is active. Archived or deleted student records are removed from active views but may remain in backups for up to 90 days before permanent deletion. Schools may request full data deletion by contacting us at support@tech2teach.com.au.

Under the Australian Privacy Act and related legislation, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you or your students.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your school's data.
• Withdraw consent to certain data uses (noting that some uses are necessary to operate the App).

8. Children's Privacy

PIPS is designed for use by teachers, not directly by children. Student data (names and points) is entered and managed by adult teachers or school administrators. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice within the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
