Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using PIPS (Positive Impact Points), operated by Tech2Teach ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users of the App, including school administrators, teachers, and any other staff granted access.

2. Description of Service

PIPS is a classroom positive-behaviour rewards platform that allows teachers and schools to track, award, and celebrate student achievements through a points system. Features include individual and house-based points, class goals, leaderboards, reports, and reward management.

3. Accounts and Registration

  • Accounts are created by or on behalf of educational institutions and their authorised staff.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately at support@tech2teach.com.au if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
  • You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering or setting up a school account.
  • Accounts may not be shared between individuals. Each teacher should have their own account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use PIPS only for its intended purpose — supporting positive behaviour recognition in a school environment. You must not:

  • Use the App to store sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary for classroom management.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other schools' data or to the underlying platform infrastructure.
  • Use the App in a manner that is discriminatory, abusive, or harmful to students or staff.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell any part of the App.
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the App without prior written consent from Tech2Teach.

5. Student Data and School Responsibilities

Schools and teachers who use PIPS are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate consent or authority to enter student data into the App in accordance with their school's privacy obligations and applicable legislation (including the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and any relevant State or Territory laws).

Tech2Teach processes student data on behalf of schools as a data processor. The school retains responsibility as the data controller for the student information entered.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

  • PIPS offers free and paid subscription tiers for both schools and individual teachers.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed via Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
  • Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by Australian Consumer Law.
  • We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice to existing subscribers.
  • Trial periods (where offered) convert automatically to a paid plan unless cancelled before the trial ends.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and materials within the PIPS App are the intellectual property of Tech2Teach, unless otherwise indicated. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for its intended educational purpose only.

You retain ownership of any data you input into the App (student records, custom behaviours, etc.).

8. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep PIPS available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, apply updates, or modify features with or without prior notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tech2Teach and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or goodwill.

PIPS is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to PIPS if these Terms are breached, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the breach. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, we will retain data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes via the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
